Nutrisystem has been helping millions of people in achieving their weight loss goals. Chocolate Shake --Not so good. Oatmeal --Not as good as the apple cinnamon, but I sliced up half a banana and put it on top and it was really quite delicious! The program is based on the premise that it's easier for dieters to lose weight if they don't have to plan and prepare their own meals, but instead have access to ready-made, pre-portioned entrees and snacks that keep daily caloric intake low. I think you might be able to get it cheaper off QVC, but I just went through the Nutrisystem website. How well does this keep in the refrigerator?
Toy Collectibles, Americana Collectibles, Ceramic Collectibles
I haven't been completely dedicated to staying on the diet every day. Sometimes, I cook dinner and eat with my family, but the beautiful thing about Nutrisystem is that if you have a lapse, just get back on it the next day and it doesn't seem to affect the outcome.
I would definitely recommend Nutrisystem to anyone who would like to change their eating habits and lose weight safely.
I can't explain exactly how, but they have done a fantastic job with their programs. If you want or need to lose weight, join Nutrisystem today! I started Nutrisystem on August 11, A friend of mine lost over 40lbs in a year of following the program. Back in I lost 80lbs following the South Beach program overtime I drifted from those habits and gain back 70 of that in the last few years.
I need things to be simple and easy to prepare and Nutrisystem is great for people who like convenience. Everything is prepackaged and properly portioned. Everyone has their own preferences but if you are used to frozen meals from Lean Cuisine, Health Choice, etc you should have no trouble finding something you enjoy in NS. In 74 days that I have been on the program I have dropped Plus you can get an extra discount using areferral code.
If you are new to Nutrisystem they should work just fine. If you are coming back to the program and have been inactive for more than 4 months they should also work for you too. So I wanted to start a sort of journal to keep track of what I like and don't like, and maybe others can benefit from it. I'd also like others to contribute any of their experiences with this food. Breakfast Banana Spice Muffins --Just awful.
They had a dog food undertaste that was horrible. I threw them away and set the other packages aside to be returned.
I'm afraid to try the other types of muffins now. Nutriflakes Cereal-- --This is essentially bran flakes and they're quite tasty. I sprinkle my morning raisins on them and Viola! Frosted Oats Cereal --This is just Cheerios. If you like cheerios.
I'll be getting a lot of both cereals in my next order. Nutricinnamon Squares --Can't tell what they're supposed to be but it's tasty! Chocolate Chip Granola Bar --very good. Slight fake taste to it, but overall good. Lowfat Granola Cereal --Excellent! Very sweet and crunchy with a hint of cinnamin. I don't know how this is diet food??? It's basically a cup of powdered eggs, and you add water, nuke, stir, and nuke again. To my surprise, I liked it! It didn't taste exactly like eggs, but I ate every bite.
Cranberry Granola Bar --Not as good as the other granola bar, but still pretty tasty. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal --If you like oatmeal, you'll like this. The portion size is a little smaller, but it tastes identical to instant oatmeal.
Oatmeal --Not as good as the apple cinnamon, but I sliced up half a banana and put it on top and it was really quite delicious! Apple Granola Bar --By far the best of the granola bars.
Lunch Pasta with Beef --I enjoyed this one. Chicken and Pasta in Cacciatore Sauce --This I thought I would like, because it had olives in it, but it all had a weird taste to it. I ate about half before giving up. Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes with broccoli --The broccoli makes it taste a little weird, but overall it's pretty yummy. Chicken Noodle Soup --Delicious! Turkey Hot Dogs --You nuke a dog and put it in a whole wheat roll. Very good, but I'm a big hot dog fan.
I'd have no problem eating it again. Vegetable Beef Soup --Yum! My office-mate had to go to lunch because my soup smelled so good! Pasta Parmesan with Broccoli --This was not so tasty. The broccoli bits gave it a weird flavor just like the cheesy homestyle potatoes. Don't get me wrong--broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables.
Whatever is in this does NOT taste like broccoli. Hearty Minestrone Soup --I didn't expect to like this, but it was pretty decent. Lots of noodles, very filling. Could have used a little spice--had I been at home I would have added some garlic powder and maybe tobasco.
Cream of Broccoli Soup --If you're not a fan of broccoli, you won't like this soup. I happen to love it, so I thought it was pretty tasty. The cream base has a slight chicken flavor to it that makes it yummy. If only I could eat it with some crackers But it was surprisingly good. Or maybe I was just happy to be eating a roll?? Not fantastic, but okay.
When I first peeled back the lid and caught a whiff of it I knew I was in trouble. I thought maybe heating it would help, but it still had a strong ammonia taste to both the turkey and the weird little dumplings. Vegetable Lasagna with Meat Sauce --Excellent!
Maybe that's just because I ate it as a replacement for the stinky turkey, but it was SO good! Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese --Very yummy! You assemble all the parts and bake it for 5 minutes. Before beginning Nutrisystem, or any other weight-management plan, talk to your doctor about the possible advantages and disadvantages.
The Nutrisystem diet was created in the early s by Harold Katz, first as a liquid protein drink program, then as a series of weight-loss centers. In the late s, Nutrisystem developed into an online heat-and-eat meal delivery service. The program is based on the premise that it's easier for dieters to lose weight if they don't have to plan and prepare their own meals, but instead have access to ready-made, pre-portioned entrees and snacks that keep daily caloric intake low.
The meals emphasize lean protein and carbohydrates with a low glycemic index such as whole grains and vegetables. Dieters just starting on the Nutrisystem program select breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snack items for 28 days at a time, either online or over the phone. The meals are all delivered at once to the dieter's home, along with instructions for following your personalized eating plan. None of the items require refrigeration, and most are ready-to-eat or microwavable, though some need you to add hot water or to do some stove-top preparation.
To supplement the Nutrisystem meals, you're also provided with instructions for how much vegetables, fruits, lean protein and low- or no-fat dairy products you'll need from the grocery store.
Nutrisystem followers are also encouraged to exercise for 30 minutes daily.
